VBS vacuum brake assist
Vacuum brake booster mainly uses the vacuum of the engine intake manifold and the differential pressure of atmospheric pressure to assist the brake. However, the installation of fuel direct injection system and start-stop system reduces the vacuum degree of the intake manifold, requiring additional vacuum pump and control system to produce an alternative vacuum. New energy vehicles also need additional vacuum sources because there is no internal combustion engine unit. This requires an absolute pressure sensor to measure absolute vacuum, a gauge pressure sensor to measure differential pressure with respect to the atmosphere, or a combination of the absolute and gauge pressure sensors.
