NOVOSENSE launched a new integrated circuit Hall sensor: NSM201X series

2021/07/26

Suzhou NOVOSENSE Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NOVOSENSE"), an outstanding domestic R&D and design enterprise of high-performance and high reliability analog chips, recently launched integrated circuit Hall sensor NSM201X series. This series of products is mainly based on the Hall effect principle, using an isolated way to convert the current within ±65A into linear voltage output, which is suitable for a variety of isolated current sampling occasions, including current detection of MPPT (maximum power point) tracking on DC input side of photovoltaic cluster inverter, current sampling of busbar and bridge arms in industrial inverter parts, power supply of UPS and server, and isolated current sampling in charging pile. In addition, it has been applied for AEC-Q100 certification, which allows it to be used for isolated current sampling for NEV OBC (On Board Charger), isolated current sampling for PTC heaters in air conditioning thermal management systems, etc.

NSM201X series features include:

1. High precision and high reliability

NSM201X series features high sensitivity, low zero error and good linearity (nonlinearity of + or -0.2%), which can reduce the overall output error of the device. The maximum measurement error is ±1.5% within the operating temperature range. The products have passed the certification of UL62368, IEC62368, TUV and so on.

2. High isolation and high compatibility

► The wide-body 16-pin version has a maximum isolated operating voltage of more than 1550Vpk, an insulation capacity of 1min, a voltage withstand of 5000Vrms, and a surge insulation withstand of more than 10kV.

► Narrow-body 8-pin packaging supports operating voltage of 600Vpk, insulation of 1 min, voltage withstand of 3000Vrms,and surge insulation of  more than 6kV.

► Low conduction impedance performance: The wide-body SOIC 16-pin version provides 0.85mOhm conduction impedance, and the narrow-body SOIC 8-pin version provides 1.2mOhm conduction impedance, with good temperature rise characteristics.

► The pins are compatible with mainstream Hall current sensors, supporting 5V and 3.3V power supply, and available in DC input voltage version, AC input voltage version, optional proportional output voltage version and fixed voltage output version to meet different application scenarios.
