NOVOSENSE Showcases its Latest Sensor, Signal Chain and Power Management ICs for Simplified Automotive Design and Industrial Control at PCIM Europe 2024

2024/05/21

NOVOSENSE Microelectronics, a semiconductor company specializing in high-performance analog and mixed-signal chips, will present its latest developments for optimized automotive design and industrial control at PCIM Europe 2024 in Nuremberg from June 11-13, 2024. Hero analog and mixed-signal semiconductors on show at booth #636 in Hall 9 will range from intelligent motor drivers to CAN transceivers and Hall sensors, while company experts will be available for in-depth discussions and live demonstrations.

With a portfolio of over 1,800 chip products and as a member of the Automotive Electronics Council (AEC), NOVOSENSE stands as a key player in the automotive industry. In 2023 alone, the company shipped over 164 million units for vehicle applications, accounting for 30.95% of its revenue.

Among the highlights at PCIM will be the new NSUC1610 motor driver system-on-chip (SoC) solution. The NSUC1610 integrates a Cortex M3 processor, MOSFET, and DAC into a single chip, simplifying peripheral circuits and reducing system costs. Equipped with 4-wire LIN bus support and a dual-channel temperature sensor, the NSUC1610 is set to meet the growing demand for higher integration levels in SoC development, further advancing the evolution of automotive systems.

As automakers increasingly leverage high-voltage subsystems for efficiency, the significance of current-sensor technology in ensuring reliability, safety, and performance is rising. Manufacturers are responding with sensors featuring intrinsic designs for enhanced safety and performance. To address this demand, NOVOSENSE will be demonstrating the NSM201x range of integrated current sensors. Designed for precision and reliability, these sensors feature current measurement accuracy of up to ±2% and high isolation voltage of up to 5000Vrms. Target applications include photovoltaic cluster inverters, power supplies and automotive onboard chargers (OBCs).

Also on display will be the NSI6611 smart isolated gate driver, a single-channel smart driver designed to provide reliable and efficient control of power transistors in a variety of applications. It supports maximum 10A/10A source and sink current capability, minimum common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 150kV/μs, and many protection functions, such as UVLO, Miller clamp, DESAT protection, soft shutdown, ASC function, to improve the system reliability and robustness in switching power supply and inverters applications.

Visitors to the NOVOSENSE booth will also have the opportunity to explore the NCA1462-Q1, an automotive-grade CAN transceiver with signal improvement capability (SIC). Featuring high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), this integrated IC enables reliable in-vehicle communications at much higher speeds than possible with conventional CAN FD technologies.

PCIM Europe stands as the foremost international exhibition and conference encompassing power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy, and energy management. Since its inception in 1979, the event has served as the convergence point for industry specialists and academics, unveiling cutting-edge trends and innovations. This event effectively showcases the complete value chain, spanning from components, drive control, and packaging to the ultimate intelligent system solutions.

PCIM Europe will take place at the Messe Nürnberg in Nuremberg, Germany, from June 11-13, 2024. NOVOSENSE is in Hall 9, booth 636.
