Automotive I²C GPIO Expander
The NCA9539-Q1 is an automotive 24-pin CMOS device that provides 16-bit general-purpose parallel I2C bus input/output GPIO extension with AEC-Q100 Grade1 certified high reliability and wide temperature range. It is widely used in automobile cockpit entertainment system, automobile auxiliary driving system, body electronics, new energy vehicle powertrain and other modules, and is used in additional IO expansion functions such as power switch, sensor, button, LED, fan control and so on. The NCA9539-Q1 consists of two 8-bit configurations (input or output options). Input, output, and polarity reversal (high active or low active) registers. By writing the I/O configuration bit, the system host can enable I/O as input or output. Each input or output data is stored in the corresponding input or output register. The polarity of the read register can be reversed using the polarity reversal register. The system host can read all registers. When any input state is different from its corresponding input port register state, the NCA9539-Q1 drain open interrupt output is activated and used to indicate to the system master that the output state has changed. A power-on reset sets the register to its default value and initializes the device state machine. Two hardware pins (A0, A1) change the fixed I2C bus address and allow up to four devices to share the same I2C bus.
