FTU
Feeder terminal unit, referred to as FTU, is installed on the 10 kV feeder line. It monitors the switch on the column, completes the functions of telemetry, remote control, remote communication and fault detection, and communicates with the main station of distribution automation to provide the operation of the distribution system and various parameters, namely, the information required for monitoring and control. Including switching state, electrical energy parameters, phase fault, grounding fault and fault parameters. It also executes commands from the main power distribution station, adjusts and controls power distribution devices, and implements fault location, fault isolation, and quick power recovery in non-fault areas.
